Stampin' Up! Peaceful Poppies - Birthday book

Hello everyone

This is something a bit different.

I got the idea from Lisa Curcio a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the USA.  I used the papers from the Peaceful Poppies designer series paper to cover one of our Pressed Petals Journals.

Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper

Here is the finished covered journal:

Here are the measurements designer series paper and card:

Floral piece of Peaceful Poppies designer series paper: 5 1/2" x 3"
Striped piece of Peaceful Poppies designer series paper: 5 1/2" x 1 1/2"
Old Olive card: 5 1/2" x 1"

I also used
10" Real Red Double Stitched satin ribbon
10" Very Vanilla Lace Ribbon
Linen Thread

Here is how I covered the Journal:

Attach the strip of Old Olive card, close to the wire binding
Attach the strip of striped designer series paper to the right hand edge of the front cover
Attach the floral piece of deisgner series paper so that the Old Olive peeps out on the left hand edge

Stamp the sentiment, into Whisper White card, punch with Classic Label punch
Push out one of the die cut flowers from the Poppy Elements pack, attach the sentiment label to the die cut, then add both to the front of the journal.

Thread both the ribbon and the lace through the top wire binding, fold in half.  Wrap the linen thread around both the ribbon and lace, tie with a knot then tie a bow.  Snip both the ribbon and lace to length required

The tabs were added to every other page.  I made these on the computer and punched using the Circle Tab punch.

Thank you for visiting

Happy Crafting!
