Gorgeous Grape Painted Poppies cards

Hello everyone

I always think of November as Poppy month and as I love poppies I made some cards using the Painted Poppies stamp set from the Annual Catalogue.

I made three cards in all:

Instead of the traditional red, I used one of my favourite colours Gorgeous Grape.

Card 1

    

Card base:

Whisper White thick card:  5-7/8" x 11-3/4", score at 5-7/8"

Card front:

Gorgeous Grape card: 5-5/8"  x 3-7/8"

Whisper White card: 5-1/2" x 3-1/2"

Brights 6" x 6" designer series paper: 5-5/8" x 3/4"

Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green

Ribbon: Purple Posy scallop linen ribbon

Many Mates stamp set

Card 2

Card base:

Whisper White thick card:  5-7/8" x 11-3/4", score at 5-7/8"

Card front:

Gorgeous Grape card: 5-5/8"  x 3-7/8"

Whisper White card: 5-1/2" x 3-1/2"

Brights 6" x 6" designer series paper: 5-7/8" x 2"

Ink: Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green

Many Mates stamp set

Punches: Everyday Label punch, Lovely me Label punch

Card 3:

Card base:

Whisper White thick card:  5-7/8" x 11-3/4", score at 5-7/8"

Card front:

Gorgeous Grape card: 5-5/8"  x 3-7/8"

Stamp n Sip Online - Using designer series paper to make cards

 Hello everyone

Here are 7 cards made at a recent Faceook Live for Stamp n Sip Online.

All of these were made from a single 12" x 12" sheet of designer series paper.

To start with the designer series paper was cut to 5-1/2" x 12",  so giving 2 pieces at this size plus a strip 1" x 12".

Then cut each of these strips at 3-3/4" to make pieces that measure 5-1/2" x 3-3/4", so giving 6 pieces in all.

For all the card bases are A4 Whisper White Thick card.  To create score at 5-7/8" on long side.

Rotate card so short side is uppermost and cut at 4-1/8"

Fold and burnish to make card base.

The piece of designer series paper I used was from the Playful Pets 12" x 12" pack.

Card 1

Adhere a 5-5/8" x 3-7/8" coloured card to card base.

Adhere 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" to card front.

Stamp a sentiment onto a die cut shapeand adhere to Cinamon Cider punched shape, then adhere to card front

Tie a bow from Linen Thread and attach to card.  

Decorate with Pearls

Card 2

Adhere a 5-5/8" x 3-7/8" coloured card piece to card base.

Cut 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" designer series paper from corner to corner, then adhere to card front.

Stamp a sentiment onto a die cut shape and adhere to Flirty Flamigo punched shape, the adhere to card front

Tie a bow from Linen Thread and attach to card.  

Decorate with Pearls

Card 3

Adhere a 5-5/8" x 3-7/8" coloured card piece to card base.

Cut designer series paper piece: on long side cut at 2-3/4" rotate and cut on short side at 1-7/8"

Adhere all 4 pieces to card front.

Stamp a sentiment onto a die cut shape and adhere to Basic Black punched shape, then adhere to card front

Decorate with Pearls

Card 4

Adhere a 5-7/8" x 2-1/2" coloured card strip across the centre of the card base.

Cut designer series paper piece on long side 1-3/8" strips.  Adhere these 4 pieces to card front.

Stamp a sentiment onto die cut shape and the adhere to card front

Tie a bow from Linen Thread and attach to card.  

Decorate with Pearls

Card 5

Adhere a 5-5/8" x 3-7/8" coloured card piece to card base.

Cut designer series paper piece to 1-1/4" strips and adhere these 3 pieces to card front.

Wrap Linen Thread around card piece.

Stamp a sentiment onto die cut shape and adhere to card front across the linen thread.

Decorate with Pearls

Card 6

Adhere a 5-5/8" x 3-7/8"coloured card piece to card base.

Cut designer series paper piece at 1-5/8" and attach both pieces to the card front.

Wrap ribbon around card front.  Attach a bow.

Stamp a sentiment onto die cut shape and adhere to card front

Decorate with Pearls

Card 7

Cut left over designer series paper pieces:

4 pieces 1" x 3" and 1 piece 5-1/2" x 3/4"

Attach to card front... I added them at angles for a bit of interest.

Stamp a sentiment onto die cut shape, adhere to punched shape.

Add some ribbon to back of die cut shape, then adhere to card front

Decorate with Pearls

Today I've been playing with the lovely new Curvy Celebration suite that will be available to purchase next month.  

This new suite contains curvy stamps and dies and some beautiful designer series paper coloured Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Sahara Sand - just perfect for all those Christmas cards we are making.

Here is a card that that I shall be sending out to my customers who order from me this month.

Here are the supplies I used to create this card:

Cut card/paper pieces:

Card base:

Whisper White Thick card: 4-1/8" x 11-3/4", score at 5-7/8" fold and burnish

Rotate and cut at 4-1/8"
Fold and emboss to create an A6 card base

Card front:
Classic Christmas 6" x 6" designer series paper
Whisper White card: 5-5/8" x 3-7/8"

Inks:
Sahara Sand
Shaded Spruce

How I made this card:
I adhered a piece of Sahara Sand designer series paper to the card base.

After I had stamped the rows of trees onto a piece of Whisper White card as shown, using Shaded Spruce ink, I added some colour to the tree using a Blender Pen.  I also added some Sahara Sand to the 'ground'
Tip: Gently dip the Blender Pen into the corner of your ink pad and transfer the ink into the lid of your ink pad.  Swirl and spread the ink in the lid, until you have the shade of ink colour you want. 

Gently colour in your image, rubbing too vigorously will break the smooth fibres of your card and create a 'fluffy' finish.

The sentiment was also stamped in Shaded Spruce.

I used one of the Curvy dies to cut off the bottom of my card.

This card front was attached to the card base with dimensionals.

So here is my card again...

Stamp n Sip with Queen Anne's Lace and Basket of Blooms

 Hello everyone

I do love Stamp n Sip.. yesterday we all met at The Pannier Pantry in Bideford.. because of new rules there were only 6 of us... but o it was such fun!  Lots of stamping, gluing and giggling.

There were 2 cards to make

The first used the Queen Anne's Lace set

Do you recognise the plant?.. it looks like our Cow Parsley, doesn't it.  Apparently its a close relation. Around here in Devon, we get lots of it that grows by the sides of the road - it looks so lovely especially when there is lots of it.
