Stamp 'n Sip at Four and Twenty Blackbirds cafe last Saturday

Hello everyone

At the weekend, we were at the Four and Twenty Blackbirds cafe in Barnstaple for Stamp 'n Sip. It's a lovely cafe, where everything is made on site... yesterday I had Butternut Squash and Vanilla soup with toasted granary bread... that was a first time for me and I must say it was yummy!!

The first card we made used the Beautiful You stamp set from the Annual catalogue.

This elegant lady was stamped twice, with Memento Black ink, once on some Designer Series Paper and again onto a Whisper White stitched oval shape.
The image on the Designer Series Paper was then cut up so that the dress and the hat could be 'paper pieced' to the other image.

Hey presto!  she is now wearing a matching dress and hat ensemble.

The base card was embossed with the Subtles dynamic embossing folder and the peice of Blushing Bride was embossed using the Country Florals dynamic embossing folder.
The other stamping was done with Blushing Bride ink.

Here are the ladies with their cards, brilliant!

As always when we are at the cafe we are treated to home made cake with our tea/coffee.  This weeks cake was made by Antia and was a Rhubarb and ginger Victoria Sponge - oooooh it was am-a-zing!!!

The second card was made using the Love What You do stamp set, also from the Annual cataligue.

The large flower was stamped in Garden Green then colour (Daffodil Delight) was added using a small fill in shape.   As this was not big enough to fill in the flower head completely we stamped it again to fill in the rest of the flower - without re-inking -  so this gives a pretty two-shade effect.

Again here are the ladies with their cards... so now we all gave a lovely card to give to someone to say Thank You.

Well, that's all folks!......as said a certain cartoon character -  sorry showing my age there ))

Thank you to the ladies for coming along and for Tom and Antia for their hospitality.

Happy Crafting!
Wendy
