Stampin' Up! Balloon Celebration candle and pop up corner card

Hello everyone

Thank you for stopping by.

It's the last week of  week of October,  I have been on the Crafty Cupcake Design team for the month.  Each week I have been making a project using the Balloon Celebration stamp set with its coordinating punch.

As its my last week on the design team for this month, I decided to go out with a bang and made this complete gift set in one of my favourite colours - Sweet Sugarplum.

The gift set is:

  • a decorated  candle, with Happy Birthday on one side and some balloons on the other, with a box with a peep through window.
  • a small card and that sits in a box too

Firstly I decorated the balloon.  I stamped my images onto white tissue paper then applied to the candle using my heat tool.

The box was scored on the Simply Score board, I wouldn't be without one of these ))

The hole in the front was punched out so that the balloons just peep through.

Then I needed a card.

As I mentioned in my first post I made all these projects whilst I was staying at a friends house.
At the last minute I popped into my bag some of the new pizza boxes.

I thought I would make a card to fit the pizza box, so next I made a very small corner pop up card.  The finished size is only 3"x3".

The flower on the card is made using the balloon shadow stamp (not sure really what to call it, but its the one that has all the dots to give some shape to your balloon).  I stamped and punched out 6 shapes,  curled each one and then made my flower.

Again the circle on the front was punched out so that the flower just peeps through.

So having made the card, of course I decorated the box.  So I added mats and punched circle from Sweet Sugarplum to place on the top, then added another flower to match the one on the card.  Wink of Stella was liberally applied to the flower and the stars))

I also decorated the sides of the box too.

There it is -  a lovely little birthday gift set.

Thank you for following me for the last 5 weeks.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing my creations using the Balloons Celebration stamp set and the Celebration Bouquet punch.

Bye for now
