My new journaling Bible - Psalm 23

Hello everyone

Do you have a bucket list of things you would like to do before you get too old?

I do, most of them are just pipe dreams.

One of the things on my list is to read my Bible from cover to cover. Eeeek!!

Its a truly daunting task but now I have something that I think is going to make this aim more acheivable and more fun.

I have treated myself to a journaling Bible... I spotted it at a Craft Fair recently and had to have it.

If you've never seen one.. they are Bibles that come with pages that you can add journaling to, you can add designs of your own and there are pages that have designs on them that you colour in, perfect for when inspiration is needed.

I am so excited and cannot wait to see what I am going to be led to add, I know I am not doing this on my own.

Whenever I pick up a Bible, if I am not looking for something particular, my first port of call is Psalm 23 - The Lord's my Shepherd... its been a favourite for a (very) long time.  I was taught this by my Grandpa and it was my school hymn and I still remember all the words.
The version of this Bible is a more modern translation.

Wow! What an experience!  Peace and quiet to hear and feel our Lord's presence.
(Except when I was singing my old school hymn - tune Crimmond ))

Not bad, methinks... I haven't coloured for ages and I must admit I was very nervous putting pen to paper.  I used my Stampin' Up! Stampin Write markers... they havent bled through, so am pleased as I have the full colour range at my disposal and I even added some Wink of Stella to add a bit of sparkle.

I am going to try watercolouring pencils and stamps.  I am, in case you don't know, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and have heaps of crafting goodies that am itching to try in my Bible.

So, watch this space and see how I get on with my journey.
