Candy Cane Season - Shimmer Paint stamping

Hello everyone

Today, the Crafty Piglets (my team) had a get together and we all had a play with the Shimmer Paints from the Autumn/Winter catalogue.  These little pots of loveliness are such fun to play with.  I warn you, you will get a bit messy... but sometimes that's just what we crafters like/need.

The Shimmer Paint I used for this card was Vegas Gold.   I dabbed the Shimmer Paint to the stamps using a dauber, just gently tap tap tap all over the stamp and then stamped onto Whisper White cardstock.    Be careful not to overload your dauber, it will look 'globby' otherwise.

As the Candy Cane and the bow, have a coordinating punch, I placed both stamps onto my Stamparatus and applied the Shimmer Paint to the both stamps and then punched both out at the same time.

The benefits of using the Stamparatus meant that I could lay out my stamps perfectly so punching was easy and I just added a little Shimmer Paint each time and then repeat stamped till it made a nice even image .

Thank you for visiting today.

Happy Crafting!

Wendy
