A blue hydrangea set me thinking

Yesterday, I saw the most beautiful blue, and I mean blue!, hydrangea.   I had received my new Stampin' Up! Beautiful Branches bundle the day before and having looked at Pinterest, a lot, thought I would make a card .... so here it is.... yes I know the set is called Beautiful Branches, but the top of the tree makes a perfect hydrangea

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Branches, bundle, garden green, Tempting Turquoise

The card base is 6" x 6", still my favourite size card and very popular with all my customers.
I stamped the grass using Garden Green and the sentiment in black.  The flower head was first stamped onto the card using Tempting Turquoise.  Separately I stamped the flower head twice onto a piece of card and also stamped three leaves.  Then out came my old faithful Cuttlebug and I cut the two flower heads and the three leaves using the matching dies.... so easy, though my poor Cuttlebug is fading fast I fear...more about that in another post to come.

So once all were cut out, I attached them to my card, layering the flower head over the already stamped image and placing the second one on top of that.... oh yes, and I moulded this one in the palm of my hand to give it a 3d effect and attached with Stampin' Up! dimensionals, cut in half.

Then to finish it off, I brushed the flower head with Wink of Stella.

If you would like to purchase the Beautiful Branches bundle, please visit my shop, or contact me.  Its only available till the end of August, or while stocks last, so don't miss out.

Even whilst writing this post, I am thinking about making another card for someone I know who is getting married soon, and whose floral decorations will be... yes you guessed it hydrangeas.
